TANGA-NYIKA TALES: Adventure from the bush to the beach
This isn’t simply a tour, or even a journey; it’s a story. One that weaves from the mountainous North to the palm fringed Eastern coast, taking you from Arusha and the Maasai steppe, through the baobab and acacia studded savannahs of Tarangire, the iconic Serengeti and the highlands of Ngorongoro and back down to the Usambaras via Kilimanjaro to the coastal town of Pangani in Tanga. It’s a tale of this glorious country, her wildlife and rich cultures as told by the people who call Tanzania home, one you’ll hear from Maasai elders around a fire as they share traditional stories, medicinal knowledge or the symbolism of colour, from the Hadzabe as they explain the significance of the baobab or help you string a bow, or the WaSwahili as they translate proverbs, weave a fishing net or harvest fresh coconuts for you. One you’ll also learn from your private guide as you explore the North’s beautiful parks, watching out for wildlife big and small.
